The Russian IGL just left AMKAL. While the transfer rumours spin up, let's take a quick look at what he's been running.
Nafany's contract with AMKAL expired, playing for fun with TDK but still a free agent. The scene will do its thing, teams will be linked, Twitter will speculate.
Meanwhile, good excuse to zoom over his loadout.
The rifle setup
Nafany has been a consistent AK-47 player on T-side, which, fair enough, is basically every pro at some point. The skin he's been associated with is the AK-47 Vulcan, one of those picks that just makes sense visually: clean, dark, reads well on stream. Not the flashiest choice, but with his 4 nafany antwerp holos on it, it gives it some shine eh ✨
On CT-side, nafany seems to prefer the m4a4, at least on last games I watch, with the simple M4A4 Temukau Stattrak, not the fanciest, but still a quite popular choice amongst players of all levels.
Fancy USP-Glove combo
The latest USP used on CT-side was the Alpine Camo which is a cool pick, moreover considering the Amphibious Sport Gloves, making a sweet combo !
Btw, those gloves also make a lot of sense with the vulcan and the temukau 👏
Mismatch ?
It seems that the butterfly knife he's using doesn't real match the rest of the combo. But why would he keep this butterfly if it doesn't match, and could probably get something more related to his blue-ish vibe ? I see only one explanation: he freakin dropped it. Dropping a phase 4 butterfly with a 0.007 float, that's quite something, ggs nafany.
So what does this mean for his next team ?
Honestly, nothing at all, I wouldn't know a thing about it tbh, but let's hope to see that guy back again on the T1 some days 🫡
